International service production company The Martini Shot recently did service production for German production house Le Berg for a new music video for band Milky Chance.
The music video 'The Game' was released alongside the band’s new album 'Mind The Moon'. Georgia was selected for the shoot primarily because of its beautifully unique locations.
The team working on the video was truly international and consisted of young German director Jonas Vahl, French DOP Léo Schrepel and a Georgian-German production crew. VFX was done by a German post production house Harvest Digital Agriculture.
The music video is a story of a band’s surreal journey in a surreal landscape. It has a very appealing aesthetic and a somewhat nostalgic vibe when it comes to the choice of grading and edit.
The director of the music video Jonas Vahl shared his thoughts on his inspiration and ideas for this film: "I like the idea of abstracting the normal, somehow everything becomes interesting if you look close or change the perspective. The approach for the video was to create a surreal world that takes itself completely seriously and makes the impossible possible."
The Game promo was shot mid-August right outside of Tbilisi, Georgia. Summer is a rather hot time of a year in Georgia so the band and the crew had to endure temperature of +34C while filming in the open sun.
