Music and sound agency Pitch & Sync reveal the latest and hottest new artists, songs and albums that they’ve been listening to in their weekly installment of Tracks of the Week.
"January is well and truly in full swing, which means we’re that tiny bit closer to festival season. With The Chemical Brothers headlining All Points East and the Field Day lineup being announced this week, we’re gearing up by picking some tracks that will likely play a part in defining our summer."
MAH BY THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS
You would think that we’d ease ourselves into the year with something a bit subdued, however, this track from The Chemical Brothers is well and truly a rave anthem. We can’t wait to see them take over Victoria Park this Summer.
WHEN I WAS OLDER BY BILLIE EILISH
A bit of a melancholic track, but impressive nonetheless, we couldn’t help but include Billie Eilish’s latest. 2019 is sure to be a big year for her and we’re certain she’ll be a feature on a few festival line ups.
TELL ME (DOKO MIEN) BY IBIBIO SOUND MACHINE
Percussive and infectious, Ibibio Sound Machine return with another outrageously fun track to add to their repertoire.
PLAINS BY DEERHUNTER
A track inspired by film icon James Dean, this cut off Deerhunter’s forthcoming album is a standout that leaves us wanting more.
HIBERNATE BY LAURA MISCH
Self produced by Misch herself, this track reflects on how hibernation is a luxury for some. With proceeds going towards the homeless charity Crisis, we’re so glad to see another musician doing good through their music.
