Created by Buzzman and produced by BIG Productions, the comedic campaign aims to help us make the right Christmas gift choices
From 22nd November, PayPal will launch a new initiative that hopes to save those who buy inappropriate Christmas gifts this year. The European wide multimedia brand campaign was developed by Buzzman.
The campaign was created from the notion that at the holiday season, family gatherings, fine meals and distribution of gifts go together. But, to choose the right Christmas gift is not that easy…
Through a vignette film, PayPal talks to those for whom the magical moment of gift opening quickly results with tragedy. Those whose anguished expressions contrast with those of Christmas wonder. It comedically shows a cast of characters who have bought inappropriate gifts and go to all kinds of extremes to hide them.
However, Papyal aims to reassure them, and us, that there is no need to worry! By shopping online with PayPal, they’ll be able to return their gifts and get their return fees reimbursed.
The campaign, composed of a 70’ film, released in 1×45′ and 4×20’ formats, will be deployed through cinema, digital and social media channels from November 22th in France.
The film will also be broadcast in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
