Central Penn Business Journal has selected Amy Beamer Murray, COO of full-service marketing network Pavone Marketing Group (PMG), as a 2022 member of its Circle of Excellence. This honour is part of its annual Women of Influence awards that were celebrated at a dinner ceremony on June 30th.

Women of Influence honors high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. Selection criteria includes professional experience, community involvement, leadership, and a commitment to mentoring. Women who have been recognized twice before as Women of Influence are eligible for The Circle of Excellence. Murray was in the inaugural class of the Business Journal's Women of Influence. Honorees are selected by a panel of judges consisting of business professionals and previous winners.

"The women being inducted into the 2022 Circle of Excellence have demonstrated longstanding, notable success in their industries and in the community,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of the Central Penn Business Journal. She praised all inductees for “leading companies, creating new products, changing the way we do business and most importantly, paving the way for future generations of women. They are providing an incredible impact on the Central Pennsylvania region.”

Murray has spent nearly three decades helping to build PMG into a marketing and advertising consortium that houses three advertising agencies, a design firm, a data and analytics company, and a shopper marketing production house with offices in Central Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, New York, and, most recently, Atlanta She began as the first employee and now sits at the helm as chief operating officer of a group with nearly 100 employees.

While building PMG those 30 years, Murray has consistently given back to the Central Pennsylvania community through a variety of volunteer commitments. She has served on the boards of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the ARC of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties, and the Central Pennsylvania chapter of Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership. She’s been a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement for more than 25 years, and a speaker at a variety of colleges, universities and women's groups. Today, she’s president of the board of Caitlin's Smiles, and works on the strategy committee of Girl Scouts at the Heart of PA.

“Amy gives so much of herself not only to Pavone Marketing Group, but also to the community around her,” said Pavone Marketing Group president and CEO Michael Pavone. “That level of selfless giving is rare and truly inspiring. We’re so proud to celebrate this honour with her.”

Honorees were profiled in a magazine inserted into the June 24 issue of Central Penn Business Journal that is also available online at CPBJ.com. Sponsors include Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (Presenting Sponsor), UPMC (Awards Sponsor), Highmark (Red Carpet Social Media Sponsor), and WellSpan Health (Celebration Sponsor).
