Optimist Inc. Opens Shanghai Office

Optimist Inc. takes on global assignments for its client smart and expands its reach with the opening of a new office in Shanghai.

Strategically situated in the heart of Shanghai, the new office serves as a hub for Optimist in APAC and will enable the agency to tap into a market that is shaping global culture at large. At launch, the Shanghai office serves as the AOR lead creative agency for smart Global, a Geely and Mercedes Benz-owned automotive brand, and represents an expansion of an existing partnership which originally began out of the Hamburg office on the smart Europe business.

This expansion of the independent, global creative agency Optimist marks a significant milestone in the agency's journey and underscores its commitment to providing exceptional creative services to clients across regions, time zones, and industries.

The Shanghai office opened on April 1st this year with a starter team led by Alex Chu, CEO Optimist APAC who has worked across multiple agencies in Asia and the US. In addition to providing clients with access to Optimist’s award-winning services, the new office is an opportunity to expand the roster – bringing the best people from around the world onto Optimist’s growing team that reflect the agency’s values and unique blend of creativity, expertise, and passion.
