Wolfe brings a stylized approach to telling real stories to the company

One at Optimus, the live-action production arm of leading production and post house Optimus, has announced the addition of Director Duncan Wolfe to its roster. With a unique background in politics, film and photography, Wolfe brings a stylized approach to telling real stories and is able to connect with his subject matter on an emotional level.

“Duncan brings a passion for film and photography to our growing directorial roster,” said ONE’s Executive Producer/Managing Director Lisa Masseur. “His ability to capture naturalistic moments and visually represent the real world appealed to us from the start. We are excited for him to bring this expertise to the commercial world.”

Currently, Wolfe is working with ONE on projects with VSA Partners and for Humana through Edelman. Before signing on with ONE, Wolfe worked independently, directing projects for Lincoln Motor Company, World Cup 2014, Need Supply Co. and The Collective Quarterly.  His short, Absaroka, for The Collective Quarterly, was recently chosen as a Vimeo staff pick. Prior to that, Wolfe worked as a deputy digital director on the Obama 2012 campaign following a stint at the White House working closely with the Photo Office and the first official White House videographer.

“I developed my love of capturing images and telling stories visually early in my career,” commented Wolfe. “I really like the idea of creating a narrative through video, and crafting a story that captures poignant moments in the lives of real people. I am so excited about this partnership with Optimus, which has such a great reputation in the industry, and I’m thrilled to work with Lisa Masseur and ONE Executive Producer Sarah Wein. I look forward to collaborating with the impressive, deep bench of creative people there – from production all the way through post.”
