ONE at Optimus Grows Directorial Roster with Creative Talents Jim Matlosz and Ryan Bosworth

New directors bring unique creative bent to Optimus’ growing production arm

ONE at Optimus, the production arm of leading production and post-production house Optimus, today announced the addition of Jim Matlosz and Ryan Bosworth as directors. The two creative talents further strengthen ONE’s already impressive roster of directors. Matlosz will focus on sports and product/ tabletop directing work and Bosworth will bring his unique live-action design and fashion expertise to ONE at Optimus.

“Jim and Ryan bring unique creative capabilities to the ONE at Optimus team and substantially strengthen our roster,” commented John Noble, executive producer and managing director, ONE at Optimus. “We’ve worked with Jim Matlosz on several Chicago Blackhawks spots, which he directed and knocked out of the park. We knew that he’d be a great addition to the team. Ryan’s extensive visual effects and design background bring exciting new opportunities for our clients. We’re thrilled to have them on board.”

With 20 years experience in high-speed cinematography – often used in sports and liquids spots – Matlosz has forged a career with his extensive knowledge of the medium. He has worked with brands ranging from New Balance, Calloway Golf, Nike and DIRECTV to Bud Light, Propel and Snapple. “I began working with John and his team at ONE in 2009,” said Matlosz. “I recognized from the start how hard they were working for me, how much they believed in me and how much they cared about every project – no matter how big or small. After working on the Blackhawks spots, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the team.”

Bosworth, who has extensive design and visual effects expertise, has directed spots for “Dancing With the Stars,” Microsoft and Verizon, among others. Most recently, he directed the “Project Runway Season 9” teaser promo, which included Heidi Klum. “The overwhelming vibe at ONE at Optimus is of great people making great work,” commented Bosworth. “I am excited to bring my own set of skills and unique flair to the work ONE at Optimus delivers. With my background, I’m able to direct spots that involve both heavy design and visual effects. Because I have a deep understanding of both of these areas, I make decisions on set that save money and result in a better finished product.”
