Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific reigned supreme at Campaign Asia’s 2017 Agency of the Year Awards last night at the Ritz-Carlton Singapore, with the agency taking home the Asia Pacific Creative Network of the Year Award for the 5th time in the last 8 years.
Ogilvy’s momentum at the network level was propelled by its strong performance across the regional awards. The agency won gold regional awards for creative, integrated and PR in Greater China; digital and PR in Southeast Asia; and creative in South Asia. Add to that country-level golds for creative in China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Japan and India, plus a gold digital-agency title in Singapore.
Ogilvy executives also swept the awards boards in the people categories; Kent Wertime and Chris Reitermann were named Asia Pacific Agency Heads of the Year, Reed Collins and Ajab Samrai were awarded Creative Person of the Year in Greater China and Japan/Korea respectively. Lucy McCabe was crowned Asia Pacific Channel / Engagement Planner of the Year, and Sue Olivier took home the Asia Pacific Talent Management Person of the Year Award.
“This is a fantastic achievement which highlights the continued dedication of our people across the region, as well as the trust and belief from our committed clients” said Kent Wertime, Co-CEO, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific.
Chris Reitermann, Co-CEO, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific added: “To continue to survive and succeed in our business, we have to be flexible and nimble to keep up with the constant state of transformation. These awards show we’re evolving in the right direction as well as reinforcing our expertise across Asia.”
