Ogilvy Brazil announces the hiring of Daniela Schmitz, effective February, as chief operating officer (COO), joining the agency's executive board. With over 25 years of experience in the marketing, communications and advertising market, Daniela brings an extensive portfolio of achievements and leadership in prominent companies, in addition to a strategic vision focused on innovation and operational excellence.
Daniela has built a solid career, holding prominent positions such as COO of Ana Couto, marketing director of YouTube for Latin America and Canada, and COO of NBS/Dentsu and Edelman, among others. Her career also includes stints at Google Brazil, where she was business director, and Escala, where she served as managing partner.
Daniela brings to Ogilvy a broad multidisciplinary experience that encompasses operations, advertising, marketing, public relations and digital. Throughout her career, she has led marketing and communications strategies for brands such as Unilever, J&J , Natura, Ambev, BRF, Bayer, GM, McDonald's , Burger King and Shell. With solid experience in strategic planning and business management, the executive is recognized for her ability to structure processes, drive productivity and foster the construction of an integrated and robust organizational culture.
