Ogilvy today announced that Adriano Matos has joined the creative network as global executive creative director for SC Johnson. In this new role, Adriano will be responsible for defining, shaping, and driving the creative vision for SC Johnson’s portfolio of brands, joining the leadership of WPP’s bespoke team dedicated to the business.

Adriano joins following SC Johnson’s consolidation of its global creative and commerce business with WPP’s Ogilvy & VMLY&R Commerce in late 2022. Over the past decade, Ogilvy has developed notable initiatives and creative campaigns SC Johnson and its family of brands, including Glade and Pledge.

Adriano brings impressive experience stewarding some of the most recognizable brands in the world. Most recently he was responsible for leading McDonald’s global business, where his remit was to unlock the power of creativity across markets. He joins from Publicis Groupe and Leo Burnett, where he led creative for Campbell’s, Beam Suntory, and Meta. Prior to Leo Burnett, he served as Chief Creative Officer of Grey Brazil, where he was credited with transforming the agency. Adriano has been recognized with numerous industry honors from juries spanning Cannes, D&AD, The One Show, Clio Awards, Asia Spikes and the Effie Awards, among others. He’s known for inspiring creative teams to do outstanding work that drives client growth.
He also joins Ogilvy as the agency is garnering recognition for creating impact. Earlier this year Ogilvy ranked #1 on WARC’s Creative 100 and Effective 100, considered the benchmark for creative excellence and effectiveness. Additionally, Ogilvy has garnered multiple network accolades including Network of the Year at The One Show and Clio Awards, Global Creative Network of the Year by Campaign, and was ranked as one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies.”
