Oak Leaf Productions (OLP) is proud to announce its collaboration with AIM Sports Group to bring attention to the pressing issue of ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injuries in women's sports through an impactful documentary series. 'REBOUND,' developed by AIM Sports Group and directed by Florencia Krochik, seeks to shed light on the epidemic of preventable ACL injuries affecting female athletes and share their unique stories to inspire change in the sports industry.
Now streaming on CORE, Roku and Apple TV, REBOUND comprises six short-form episodes, each delving into the gritty and triumphant stories of three elite female soccer players, Janelly Farías, Katie Johnson and Natalie Higgins. In addition to these inspiring athletes, 'REBOUND' features Drew Morcos, a leading physical therapist and athletic trainer with an impressive track record, including work with the Lakers, USC, and various NFL, NBA, MLB, and Olympic stars.
Bringing together their expertise in storytelling and sports management to drive meaningful change in women's sports, the vital project from AIM Sports Group and Oak Leaf Productions aims to highlight the severity of ACL injuries female athletes often face. As a response to the alarming statistic that 36 Women's World Cup players were sidelined during the competition due to ACL injuries, the docuseries underscores the preventability of such injuries through appropriate training and development programmes.
The services provided by Oak Leaf Productions for this groundbreaking series included talent casting, production management, post-production, and finishing. Helping to produce and launch the series globally, OLP played a pivotal role in assembling the creative team and overseeing all aspects of production to ensure the series effectively conveys its important message.
Daniel Marin, president of Oak Leaf Productions, speaks on the project, “We were excited to team with AIM Sports Group to help produce and launch REBOUND globally. This is exactly the type of project that we are looking for at OLP as we take a natural step from advertising and branded content to message-driven documentaries.”
John Gallegos, AIM Sports Group founder and 'REBOUND' executive producer, adds, “We’re dedicated to producing compelling narratives that matter so we can stimulate positive change. This series is designed to raise awareness of a growing problem, while offering solutions and a spotlight on prevention through effective storytelling. We’re very proud of the result. This is just the beginning too. We are currently at work developing a wide variety of compelling content, including future seasons of REBOUND featuring other powerful and previously untold stories of how athletes from various walks of life have fought to bounce back from adversity.”
