The competition is launching in association with the Commercial Communications Council’s 2023 Axis Awards

An innovative new publishing creative competition celebrating the effectiveness of print media and encouraging creatives to think differently about print, has been launched by New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME).

Launching the competition in association with the Commercial Communications Council’s 2023 Axis Awards, NZME’s Imprint competition gives creatives the chance to win a trip for two to New York to go on the greatest paper run of their life.

Research shows that excellent creative advertising makes for stronger brand awareness and a better recall, and the Imprint initiative encourages creative agencies to test this theory for themselves.

NZME head of commercial publishing and innovation, Margaret Hawker, said “Imprint delivers a reminder to us all that print offers immeasurable benefits to marketers today – from brand awareness to creative impact. NZME’s print brands offer unmissable value through an ever-growing audience and high daily engagement.”

This year’s Axis Awards convenor, Leisa Wall said “Print has always been a popular medium for our craft of advertising. It’s fantastic that NZME is putting this amazing prize together. Print is one of the oldest categories but it’s still the most rewarding to win at any award show.”

To enter, agencies must tick the box when entering the ‘Innovation in Print’ category in the 2023 Axis Award to also submit their entry into NZME’s Imprint competition (terms and conditions apply).

The illustrious line up of Axis judges will decide the most innovative entry, who will not only take out the gold Axis award, but the trip for two to New York as well.
