Nylon Studios creative director
Simon Lister will present ‘Adventure Travel Photography’ next Wednesday evening at the Apple Store, Sydney. Included as a part of the
Head On Photo Festival, his presentation will discuss photography, filmmaking and exploring the world.
Outside of his role as creative director of Nylon Studios, where he creates sound and music for global advertising campaigns and feature films, each year Lister hits the road less travelled to document the lives of individuals and communities living in the most remote regions of the world.
In this talk, Lister will share his adventures including off-road motorbiking through the Sahara and the High Atlas mountains, canoeing around the islands of Papua New Guinea and making friends in the slums of India.
Attracting interest last year from media and the creative industry alike, Lister’s image ‘Albino Girl’, shot in Papua New Guinea, was selected to showcase in National Geographic and his photograph of a girl from the slums of India ran in Cannes winning Coca-Cola print campaign ‘Small World Machines’ via Leo Burnett Sydney.
“I’m extremely grateful for the incredible experiences and people that I have met along the way in my journey to document the untouched lives of forgotten places and the people that inhabit them,” Lister said. “I feel truly privileged to share this experience with my friends and family back home,” he added.
