Notepad’s new ‘Amplify’ service model is said to give clients more control of their agency retainer, as a fully flexible service model with transparent pricing and no long-term contracts

Birmingham-based brand and creative content studio Notepad have announced a string of new hires to support the demand for their new 'no-hassle' design and content service offering, Amplify.

The award-winning agency, based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter but operating worldwide, which counts WWF, Glenmorangie and NHS England among its clients has developed a flexible, scalable and transparent agency model which gives more control to clients and “ditches bloated and tired retainers”, said founder Naeem Alvi-Assinder.

“The old network model of tying brands into inflexible and inescapable retainers is prime for disruption. With the rise of freelance talent and so many great boutique agencies, brand leaders know they can find talent as and when they need it. With Amplify, we’ve made this easy, giving brands a world-class team and the ability to scale up and down their creative and content with zero hassle and no long-term tie-ins.”

Since launching the proposition 18 months ago, Notepad has welcomed a string of new clients into their agency, including Glenmorangie, SCC, and The MCG Group.

“No matter how big the in-house team, brands always have a design or content bottleneck somewhere which needs to be removed. Whether it’s supporting on campaign activity with asset creation, creating a brand toolkit or designing a series of new landing pages, we offer end-to-end creative capabilities and limitless capacity which brands can leverage when they need them,” Naeem said.

The agency is now aiming to triple in size over the next three years. To support this growth, the agency has brought on three new hires since the end of last year, including Juliette Neault, who joins the leadership team as client services director.

She is joined by Claudia Cooke in the role of senior client partner, and Liam Basford on the brand design team. Notepad also announced a series of promotions, including Dominic Reddi to mid-weight strategist, Josh Cutts to mid-weight designer and Anita Sanghera to senior client partner. The team also welcomed head of operations Krishna Chauhan back from maternity leave.

Juliette, who brings extensive experience in marketing, strategy and creative, said that Notepad was a ‘very exciting place to be’ and described the agency’s culture as ‘special’.

‘With our ground-breaking service model, the agency continues to grow, and we have some great projects in the pipeline,’ she said.

‘Everyone’s committed to creating world-class brand and creative content for clients, and everyone’s striving to deliver their best work’.

‘I also get to work with a clever, lovely bunch of people and in my hometown of Birmingham, which I love. There’s a real special culture here, powered by positivity and respect’.

‘That’s hugely important to me.’

Juliette has worked at a string of top agencies throughout her career, and with brands including BSkyB, Jaguar, Bentley Motors and Virgin Trains.

Naeem Alvi Assinder, Notepad’s founder and managing director, said that Juliette had been ‘top of the list’ of the people he’d wanted to work with.

‘When I started Notepad, I wrote a list of people that I wanted to hire. Ju has been top of that list for five years,’ he said.

‘To welcome her into our leadership team, this is a very proud moment for all of us’.

‘Beyond her incredible track record and experience managing global brands, she’s a genuinely good human being. I know she’ll add huge value to Notepad as we scale up our national and global presence.’
