With millions of Indians stuck at
home during the pandemic lockdown with no new content on TV, Netflix realised
it was a great opportunity to showcase their vast content library.
Netflix decided to tap into ‘mood’ to recommend content, rather than bombard users with their latest releases. So, Wavemaker decided to find the places where they shared how they were feeling, then connect their mood with the perfect piece of content!
Through Spotify, Twitter and Food delivery app Swiggy, Netflix matched shows with cuisines, music and emojis to serve users the perfect show or film to match what they were feeling.
