Native Music announces the addition of Sophie Faricy to their expanding team. Sophie joins as Executive Producer / Music Supervisor and will be based at the company’s Soho office and studios in Wardour Street.

In addition to spearheading music supervision and music production projects for Native's clients, Sophie will play a crucial role in advancing the ongoing growth and evolution of the business.

Sophie joins from Cavendish Music, where she worked as an executive music consultant for 14 years, contributing significantly to the business's growth from its early days as Boosey & Hawkes Production Music. Sophie’s journey in the music industry began with an internship at pioneering label Ninja Tune, leading to her recruitment by Rocket Science, a music PR company. Sophie spent several years in this sector working directly with indie labels such as Stones Throw, !K7, Sonar Kollektiv, Compost, BBE and more, before moving over to the world of mainstream music where she worked with a wide range of commercial artists from Alicia Keys, Rick Astley, and Billy Ocean to So Solid Crew and many others. This broad exposure enabled her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the music industry landscape, honing her skills in PR, artist liaison, and fostering relationships within both the underground and mainstream music scenes.

With expertise spanning various sectors of the music, advertising, TV, and film industries, Sophie brings a unique perspective to Native Music. Her extensive knowledge promises to introduce an exciting new dimension to their already esteemed team.

Dan Neale, MD and music supervisor at Native said, “We are all delighted to have Sophie join the team. She is someone we’ve worked with for many years in her previous role, and I’ve always rated her creative search ability as well as her people skills extremely highly. She is such a dynamic force and will bring new energy and drive to everything we do. It is the start of a new chapter at Native, and to have someone on board who is as professionally capable, driven and like-minded as Sophie will be a huge part of that.”

Sophie Faricy said, “I am beyond thrilled to transition into the realm of commercial music supervision and to be joining such a warm, creative, and hugely respected team. Renowned across the industry for their total ease of doing business without ego, I’m looking forward to contributing fresh energy to the company and expanding the client base, whilst uncovering new opportunities for Native. I seem to have a bit of a reputation for making a lot of noise and have forged a career out of shouting about music and artists that I’m passionate about, this is no different. It’s never easy blowing your own trumpet, so I’m going to make sure I do that for them”.
