As part of its ongoing partnership which began with last year’s multi-award nominated NationFried, creative PR agency The Romans and Nationwide have launched ‘The Big Nationwide Thank You’.
Starring broadcasting legend Sir Trevor McDonald, the new film sees Sir Trevor announce one in five Brits are set to share over £600 million as a ‘thank you’ from Britain’s biggest building society. It is thought to be the largest single gesture of appreciation by value ever made by a UK organisation.
The ‘Thank You’ payment – three times larger than the biggest National Lottery win of all time (£195 million) – thanks Nationwide members for helping build the financial strength needed to purchase Virgin Money, meaning it is able to grow the benefits of mutuality in the UK. More than 12 million qualifying members up and down the country will each receive £50 in their bank accounts from Monday 7th April.
The film sees the news-reading legend as he is joined by a kaleidoscope of regional ‘Nationwide correspondents’ as they all share ‘thanks’ in their own unique and charismatic dialect and quirks to the members who helped make a difference.
