Local services marketplace, Airtasker, has appointed London agency, Mr. President to create a major UK advertising campaign - due to launch later this year.
Airtasker is an online community platform that connects people who need tasks done, with those who have the time, skills and equipment to do them. From simple and quick to more complex and lengthy tasks, Brits can find Taskers to help with a wide range of tasks, with some popular use cases including home cleaning, handyperson jobs, removalists, gardening, photography, graphic design and website builds.
Airtasker's mission is to empower people to realise the full value of their skills. In pursuit of this, the marketplace aims to have a positive impact on the future of work by creating truly flexible opportunities to earn money. With 2.1 million people already using the platform, $382+ million worth of jobs have already been created.
The task for Mr. President is to scale the brand with a UK-based audience. Airtasker has raised £3.5m from Channel 4 Ventures to scale up and make Airtasker a household name in the UK. Having won a three-way pitch, Mr. President will be responsible for all creative. The brand previously worked with a mixture of smaller agencies and in-house teams on a project basis.
Claire Hynes, founder and CEO at Mr. President said, “Airtasker has achieved phenomenal success in Australia for good reason. It’s an awesome service, built on community and connecting people to get things done. We love what they offer, and can’t wait to help make Airtasker a household name in the UK.”
Angeline Lee, VP of Brand at Airtasker, said, “We have started to build a great community of Customers and Taskers in London, and now with the creative expertise of Mr. President, along with the media value from our partners at Channel 4 Ventures, our ambition to scale is promising. ”
