Modern Post, the bi-coastal creative post-production studio, is celebrating two Clio Music Award wins and a shortlist honour.
Founding editor William Town won Silver in editing for his work on Charli XCX’s 'Von Dutch', which recently won a Grammy for Best Dance Pop Recording. He also earned Bronze in Editing for Sabrina Carpenter’s 'Please Please Please,' while Island Records received Silver in Music Video for the same project.
Renowned for his ability to blend stylised visuals with rhythmic patterns and sound, William’s work consistently pushes creative boundaries. He has worked on music videos for major artists such as M.I.A., Miley Cyrus, Tate McRae, and Billie Eilish, bringing his signature rhythmic editing style to their visually captivating projects.
His expertise extends beyond music videos to high-profile brand campaigns for names like Vogue, Dior, Nike, Hugo Boss, Zara, and Tommy Hilfiger. Recently, William won Best Edit at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival for Mugler’s 'Alien Hypersense,' further cementing his reputation in the industry. From Calvin Klein’s CK ONE relaunch in 2011 to Vogue’s 'I Love New York' film in 2021, his award-winning work has consistently garnered acclaim.
Influenced by his early film-making experiments during the renaissance of music videos, as well as his professional roots with top fashion photographers, William began his career at Art Partner’s Paris office. He later joined Baron & Baron in NYC, where he rose to create and head the in-house film department. In 2014, William founded Modern Post, growing the studio from a boutique shop into a full-scale post-production powerhouse with a diverse, innovative team.
Modern Post editor Sofia Kerpan earned a Clio Music shortlist for her editing on Olivia Rodrigo’s 'Vampire,' which also won her the 2023 MTV Video Music Award (VMA) for Best Editing. Known for her ability to craft emotionally driven narratives, Sofia has built a strong reputation in both music videos and the commercial space, collaborating with artists like Usher, Lady Gaga, and KAYTRANADA, as well as brands like Nike, Savage x Fenty & Grey Goose.
