Mitsubishi Motors North America debuts their latest campaign, "New Beauty" for the dynamically-styled 5-passenger 2014 Outlander Sport crossover utility vehicle (CUV) from agency of record 180LA. Directed by Biscuit Filmworks' Philippe Andre, the spot conveys the stylish appeal of the Outlander Sport and the unique feeling the car gives to those who drive and ride inside.
"New Beauty" embraces the allure of the Outlander Sport, including the panoramic glass roof which covers nearly the entire roof of the car, giving all passengers in the vehicle a front row view of the beautiful night sky. Set against the melodies of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love," this poetic narrative follows a beautiful, young woman in the vehicle as she catches the attention of the moon. The majestic moon, created in CG by a52, follows the woman around the city throughout the evening, completely captivated by the car she drives. As night turns into morning and the spellbound moon keeps a watch over Mitsubishi Outlander Sport as it rides into the sunrise, the spot leaves little doubt why drivers would fall in love with the eye-catching vehicle.
"Outlander Sport owners truly love their cars," 180LA Creative Director Carl Corbitt explains. "We wanted to show the love these owners feel by creating a story that focuses on timeless romance and highlights the vehicle’s luxury in an unexpected and non-conventional way.
The :30 airs beginning October 21 on National Cable with the full-length :60 living online. The American-made 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is the best-selling vehicle in the Japanese auto manufacturer's varied model lineup. It has been named by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety as a "2013 Top Safety Pick+" and has been lauded for its smart styling, ample high-tech and luxurious standard equipment features, and all-around tremendous value for the money.
