Microsoft and Superdigital have launched a multi-part content series, featuring iconic pendulum painter Cole Newman (@colescolor) who set off on his lifelong dream of breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest dripping pendulum painting ever created – a process he once thought impossible, but made a reality with the the use of Copilot in Windows 11.
Demonstrating that the future of art and AI is collaborative, Cole used Copilot to break down the entire process – from sourcing materials/locations, to inspiring his final product visually, attacking larger than life problems, and even creating a mini-scale version of this massive pendulum painting. Then, cameras were on as Cole successfully broke the world record. Videos documenting Cole’s journey were shared on his social channels as well as across specific Microsoft-owned channels.
The actual painting took place in Dallas, Texas, with details so massive, they’re almost beyond comprehension. The painting featured:
Representatives from Guinness World Records were on-site to officially credit the painting as the “World's Largest Dripping Pendulum Painting” awarding Cole with the designation following the painting’s completion.
