In honour of its 50th anniversary, regional pizza chain Mellow Mushroom unveiled its largest advertising campaign to-date developed by cultural marketing agency 160/90. The comprehensive suite of nine brand commercials will run across CTV and social platforms through October in the regional markets Mellow Mushroom operates in. 160/90 was responsible for developing the suite of editorial content, website landing page and supportive creative assets.
Leaning into Mellow Mushroom’s playful origins and refreshed brand line, 'A Higher Order of Pizza,' 160/90 developed the campaign creative to celebrate the quality of Mellow Mushroom’s ingredients, their art-filled, eclectic in-store atmosphere, and flexible experience with dine-in and takeaway options. The campaign showcases the rebrand Mellow Mushroom unveiled in late 2023.
“For our milestone anniversary, we saw an opportunity to use new creative content to create meaningful connections with our existing guests and introduce our refreshed brand to new audiences,” said Anne Mejia, senior vice president brand development at Mellow Mushroom. “160/90 understood the need for the campaign to elicit an emotional response and truly delivered on our goal of bringing together our brand’s key tenants of pizza, people, and passion.”
