All this week we’ve been introducing you to the people who have been collaborating with us to bring the LBB & Friends Beach to life. But while online relationships are all well and good, nothing beats meeting someone face-to-face, preferably with a glass of rosé in hand. So next week we’d love to see you at the beach! To find out more, head to our Facebook event page or look out for #LBBbeach on Twitter. Santé!

James Hatcher - Stillking Films
James Hatcher
LBB> Where are you from and what do you do?
JH> I am a Londoner who moved to Prague a number of years ago and I divide my time between those two cities and wherever else production takes me. As an EP for Stillking Films I provide support to Production Companies who shoot with us in Prague, Spain, South Africa or Chile.
LBB> What do you like best about Cannes?
JH> Foreign clime induced heightened familiarity syndrome. I get hugged, kissed, picked up and squeezed by people who’d greet me with a polite nod and a handshake in Soho.
LBB> What are your top tips for surviving Cannes?
JH> It is a privilege to be in Cannes, so the idea of having to survive it seems a little preposterous to me, but I do get the question having found myself in a little bit of a pickle before now. Most problems are self-inflicted and can usually be prevented by the wearing of a sturdy sandal and the consumption of a glass or two of water at each event you attend. Also, enjoy it, you will only really connect with people if you are being genuine and having fun and then you get some fulfillment from the experience. If you do endure rather than enjoy Cannes, don’t go, just tweet and facebook update as if you are there and by mid July no one will think you weren’t.
