MEC, a leading media agency, has appointed Ben Poole to the newly created role of chief digital officer in the UK, Jason Dormieux the MEC joint CEO announced today.
The role has been created to reflect demand from clients for help in developing their digital business and marketing transformation strategies. With digital content creation and deployment continuing to create opportunities for clients across categories the need for senior leadership in this area has never been stronger.
Ben will provide digital leadership to MEC’s clients, accelerating digital transformation by ensuring that strategies encompass owned, earned and paid channels. He brings his experience in Asia Pacific of working with mobile and emerging tech combined with his broader digital expertise to the UK’s strong heritage in digital marketing.
Jason Dormieux said: “We're delighted to be able to attract someone of Ben's calibre back to the UK. Ben joins from MEC Asia Pacific where he spent six years leading MEC’s digital transformation across the region. Clients included Colgate-Palmolive, Mercedes-Benz, Singapore Airlines, SingTel, Chevron, Citibank, Sony, Chanel, Marriott & Tiffany & Co.
