Food establishments across the world are committing to new health and safety measures in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and McDonald’s is no different. In this new spot from Publicis Middle East, directed by Prodigious’ Henri Bargès, the fast-food brand highlights their renewed emphasis on pristine hygiene standards as stores re-open across the globe.
Henri’s choppily-edited film takes place entirely within a squeaky-clean McDonald’s, where face masks, anti-bacterial sprays and rubber gloves are newly prominent alongside the metallic kitchen tops and branded packaging. As burgers and fries are prepared for delivery, staff around the kitchen double down to ensure that surfaces are kept spotless.
To match the dynamic editing, Goldstein created a lively, percussive track that combines the sounds of cleaning equipment, kitchen utensils and sizzling grill tops. The resulting piece communicates that pristine standards of dining can be achieved without McDonald’s losing any of the vibrant personality that makes it so popular.
