McCann Worldgroup Elevates Nusara Chinnaphasaen to Regional Head of Strategy, Europe

The promotion comes within a year of joining the agency to multi-market strategic excellence role for six-time Regional Effie Network

McCann Worldgroup today announced the elevation of Nusara Chinnaphasaen to regional head of strategy, Europe. The former Saatchi & Saatchi London planner joined McCann London to take up a joint head of strategy role in May 2022.

“Nusara has exceptional global experience, having worked in a range of places and cultures – that gives her a first-hand understanding of how to create a space where multiple ideas from different perspectives can thrive and flourish. This positions her exceptionally well to connect communities across the breadth and depth of our region – and drive forward our culture of creativity and effectiveness for growth. I am absolutely delighted that she will bring that experience and passion for effectiveness to bear for our wider regional team and clients.” said Harjot Singh, global CSO, McCann Worldgroup.

Since joining McCann last year, Nusara has brought strategic rigour, and creative inspiration to clients to unlock opportunities for brands such as Just East Takeaway Global and has played an integral role in shaping the strategic direction for Nomad Foods across Europe.  A passionate champion of inclusiveness, she has partnered with the Women’s Association to promote diversity within the creative marketing community and also worked on a pro-bono basis with PlusPlusOne in Amsterdam. She will transition over fully to her new remit by the end of Summer.

Nusara previously worked at Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam, where she was a global planning director, for six years and partnered with clients including, Mondelez, Ab InBev, Uber, Google, Airbnb and Visa over her 20-year career. Born in Bangkok, she is a proud Thai, and has worked in five countries across three continents including a stint at Saatchi & Saatchi and Cramer-Krasselt New York.

It was named Effies Most Effective Agency Network for a sixth year; Campaign Magazine named it Best Network Europe in 2022 for a fourth year and at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2023 the region won both a Grand Prix and Titanium with one of the most-recognised campaigns this year: Mastercard’s “Where to Settle,” from McCann Poland and McCann New York.  Additionally, key market, McCann Poland, was recognised as Agency of the Year in the “Good” track - a highly coveted award, handed out in each one of the festival’s nine comprehensive competitive tracks.
