Brand is celebrating the Mother's Day with some help from the animal kingdom
For generations, Lysol has been famous for killing germs. Today, the brand launches a new campaign designed to make it famous for something far more emotional – protection.
The platform is called “What It Takes To Protect” and will celebrate the protective strength of parents, and the ways in which Lysol is there to help them. It taps into the deep and universal human instinct to keep your loved ones safe.
It all begins with a :60 launch film called “Protect like a mother” that replaces human mothers with animal counterparts to make a very simple point about the fierce strength of moms.
Over Mother’s Day weekend, Lysol will host an experience in Brooklyn Bridge Park called “Protect like a mother: an exhibit presented by Lysol” It will highlight the fiercest protectors in the animal kingdom: mothers. It will include incredible stories of the ways mothers (both animal and human) protect their children. It will also include large scale animal installations that kids can interact with. Real moms and kids will be invited to have their images captured and become a part of the exhibit.
The campaign launches May 1 and will run across TV, digital and social. The Protect Like a Mother exhibit will run May 13 and 14th at Brooklyn Bridge Park, in Brooklyn Heights.
