McCann Worldgroup Europe announces today two important Strategy leadership changes. Nikki Crumpton, Chief Strategy Officer of McCann London, is being promoted to Co-Regional Strategy Director, McCann Worldgroup Europe [shared with Gary Bonilla], reporting directly to Gustavo Martinez, President, McCann Worldgroup, Europe & APAC. Crumpton will take on a wider remit of oversight of strategic duties for McCann’s European clients and will also lead a new sustainability consultancy practice for McCann, based out of London. Zaid Al-Zaidy joins McCann London, as Chief Strategy Officer. Al-Zaidy will become part of the management team at McCann London, and will have oversight of the Strategy department of the office, and his scope includes the strategic direction of the agency.

Crumpton started at McCann in 2006 as Head of Planning and then promoted to Chief Strategy Officer of McCann London. Crumpton says of the announcement, “After 6 years leading the Planning team, I’m excited to take on this new focus on sustainability and working across a wider European remit for our clients.’
Al-Zaidy joins McCann London from TBWA\London where he has been the Chief Strategy Officer since 2010, working on global and local accounts including Adidas, Nissan GSK, and Four Seasons. Prior to TBWA\London, Al-Zaidy was Head of International Planning at RKCR/Y&R and Managing Partner of Saint (in-house digital agency) working on Land Rover and Bacardi, and also Strategy Director at Mother, working on Coca-Cola, Boots, Diageo, and Eurostar. Al-Zaidy started his career at a graduate trainee at Unilever, spending 8 years working in the marketing team, working his way up to Senior Global Innovation Manager on the Lynx/Axe brand.
