Experience a delightful journey with IXYXI and director Hernán Corera in 'Amor Mio', the latest music video for Maria Campos.
After having worked together on numerous projects in the past, the pair teamed up once again, this time embarking on an interdisciplinary expedition.
IXYXI is known as a creative music and sound design house, while Hernán Corera is celebrated for his unique works and vision as a director. Both parties conduct constant research and exploration of different artistic expressions and are not afraid to explore new roles in their creative process.
The music video was written and directed by Hernán Corera and Mate Yaya (IXYXI). The music was produced by IXYXI and Hernán Corera, who also collaborated on the sound design and edit respectively. The genesis of this crossover resulted from a strong creative alignment on previous collaborations.
“We’ve been working on numerous projects together. It’s common practice for us to discuss the story, concept, and emotional thread of every film with the director before even talking about music, as storytelling is paramount for us. These talks always went for hours with Hernan, always exceeding the piece at hand. I guess we were so excited about each other's vision that we both wanted to invite the other into our creative world,” said Mate Yaya (IXYXI).
“We connect in that when we think of music, we do so in images, and when we think of images, we listen to music. And luckily for us, we felt Maria’s music contained a whole universe inside,” said Hernán Corera.
'Amor Mio' portrays a striking story of love and death, shot on 16mm in the Province of San Juan, Argentina.
As the directors describe, “'Amor Mío' could well be a love story consummated in a brave duel, a ghost story, or perhaps an opera gauchesca. For us, it is all of the above— a prayer that connects the world of the living and the dead.”
