Magic Edit announces the new signing of editor Scarlett Bovingdon who joins the fast-growing edit collective!
Scarlett’s editing journey began in 2016, cutting trailers at Vice, where her eye for dynamic, storytelling-driven work quickly earned her a reputation as a rising talent. By 2018, she had solidified her place as a fully-fledged editor.
Over the years, Scarlett has had the privilege of working with high-profile clients like Nike, Adidas, Peloton, Asics, and Chivas, as well as collaborating with artists such as Ashnikko, Celeste, Glass Animals, and Ed Sheeran.
Scarlett’s passion for storytelling shapes everything she edits, creating work that connects on both a visual and emotional level.
In 2023, her short film Sugarbabies garnered critical acclaim, earning nominations for Best Drama at the British Short Film Awards and Best Short at the Kinsale Shark Awards.
Most recently, 2024 has seen Scarlett winning a finalist award at Creative Circle 2024 for Best Edit In A Short Film for ‘Scraps’, currently in the festival runs. Alongside a nomination for ‘Best Editing’ for her Notoways spot at the Berlin Commercial Awards.
Whether working on a commercial campaign or an intimate short film, Scarlett’s creative drive keeps her in high demand. Now part of the Magic Edit roster, she continues to bring stories to life with the same enthusiasm and precision that first set her on this path.
Vanessa Wood, lead editor at Magic said, “We are super excited that Scarlett has joined our team at Magic Edit! She has an incredible eye for detail and a talent for making stories shine.
