Luis 'Tim' González and Diana Triana Named Presidents of Creative Leadership Council for McCann Worldgroup Latin America

The instance, which turns ten years old, will be headed by the CCO of McCann Colombia and the creative VP of Commonwealth McCann and MRM Mexico

McCann Worldgroup appoints Luis 'Tim' González, creative VP in Mexico of Commonwealth McCann and MRM, and Diana Triana, CEO of McCann Colombia, as presidents of the McCann Creative Leadership Council at the regional level.

The instance turns ten years old and for the first time it will be headed by a duo, whose members come from Mexico and Colombia, respectively. This is an innovation that will add more and interesting points to its Creative Leadership Council held by the agency in the region.

Diana has been in the industry for almost two decades, in 2016 she was chosen See It Be It by Cannes Lions and received the Women to Watch Colombia recognition. She also won the first Glass lion that Colombia obtained in 2017.

Meanwhile, Luis already has twenty years of work, and has collaborated with major global, regional and local brands and among his awards are a Lion for L'Oréal, a Grand Effie for General Motors in 2020 and recent awards at Clio and Cannes Lions.

Both have already started their work as presidents and the first session of the CLC had among its participants Alex López, global president & chief creative officer of McCann Worldgroup, and Adrian Botan, chief creative officer of MW Europe.

Luis Machorro, managing director of McCann Worldgroup for Latin America, assured, “Our CLC has been a driving force for promoting creativity in the region, taking our product and talent to the main stages and festivals in the world. On this path we have decided to evolve and that is why from now on we will have a new and bold formula. I am sure that the combination of their talent, experience and vision will strengthen the ideas and creative excellence of the region, providing a contemporary point of view that distinguishes and differentiates us”.

In this regard, Diana commented that teamwork is the best way to work. “That's why it makes so much sense to me that we're moving toward a co-direction. In addition, it is just the spirit that we seek to inject into the team in the region.” While Luis limited: "Part of our objective will be to consolidate a fertile collaborative space so that the ideas and talent of the team are strengthened and materialised".
