LiveFi offers a platform that seamlessly supports a physical live event, delivers a virtual one, or enhances a combination of the two

Live marketing agency Lively is giving marketers the power to inject their experiences with personality and creativity, with the launch of their innovative virtual platform LiveFi.

LiveFi is designed specifically with brand engagement in mind. It offers a platform that seamlessly supports a physical live event, delivers a virtual one, or enhances a combination of the two, enabling brands and marketers to stage successful hybrid live experiences. With events for much of 2020 pivoted online, the idea for LiveFi was sparked by the frustration Lively experienced when using mainstream video-conferencing platforms to host hybrid events for their clients, and the realisation that established services do not go far enough.

With brands continuing to host events in a hybrid format or choosing a combination of hybrid and live, LiveFi’s platform is ideally suited to brands’ changing needs. LiveFi supports a physical live event while offering personalisation features for both presenters and audiences. Innovative features include the ability for clients to run their own custom-skinned platform for an event, advanced video capabilities including produced feed live streams, and a suite of customisable video conferencing tools which allow for higher levels of dynamic content. Interactivity is baked in, with breakout rooms and advanced networking tools that promote audience dialogue, enhancing the overall experience.

A further consideration was ease of use. The LiveFi platform is intuitive and can therefore be deployed by anyone, not just those on the technical side.

Mike White, CEO and co-founding partner of Lively, says: “As a live marketing agency, we have hosted as well as attended a lot of virtual events in the last year. We quickly became fatigued with the limitations of one-size-fits-all platforms like Zoom. So we set about coming up with our own version, developed specifically with the idea that you have to engage audiences at your hybrid live experiences, and inject them with your own personality, if they are to be effective.”

Mark Mitchell, chief innovation officer and co-founding partner of Lively said: “With a clear knowledge of what makes an experience successful and an understanding of the technology required to build such a platform, a move into the platform business with LiveFi seemed the obvious next step for us as a company.”

LiveFi hosted its debut event in November 2020, the first in a series called ‘The Future is Lively’. Organised by Lively, the series examines the challenges and trends impacting industries such as music, fashion and technology, The Future is Lively focused on the outlook for live experiences in the wake of Covid-19. The next ‘The Future is…’ event, also running on LiveFi, will look at the challenges facing the live music industry and is being hosted by Miranda Sawyer in April 2021.

The LiveFi platform also powered the Most Contagious events in the UK, the US and the Asia-Pacific region, with the most recent taking place in February 2021.  One delegate described the experience as ‘the best virtual conference I’ve been to yet’, while Paul Kemp-Robertson co-founder of Contagious commented "The LiveFi platform was phenomenal, it worked seamlessly and took Most Contagious to a totally different level compared to most of the virtual events out there".
