Senjan Jansen is a composer, sound designer, and re-recording mixer. After earning a degree in film directing from the RITCS School of Arts in Brussels, he established himself as a sound designer and composer in the Belgian film industry whilst also expanding his work into theatre and fashion.
Senjan’s distinctive approach seamlessly blends score, sound design, and re-recording mixing, an approach masterfully showcased in the feature film SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE, directed by Tim Mielants and starring Cillian Murphy and Emily Watson, adapted from Claire Keegan’s Booker Prize nominated novel. By blurring the lines between music and sound design, Senjan heightens the film’s sense of quiet tension and moral weight, immersing the audience in its world.
Other scoring credits include feature film, KID, written and directed by Fien Troch, which earned Best Score at the Marseille Film Festival, Nicolas Provost’s debut feature THE INVADER, winner of the Georges Delerue Award for Best Original Music/Sound Design at Film Fest Gent, and acclaimed Belgian drama series CORDON, directed by Tim Mielants and Eshref Reybrouck.
With a background in film directing, Senjan brings a cinematic sensibility to every project, shaping deeply textured soundscapes that don’t just accompany a story, they enhance and transform it.
