Knucklehead is delighted to announce Robbie Samuels as its summer signing.
North Londoner Robbie joins us from Red Bee where he has worked as a creative and director of TV promos and online content.
In true Knucklehead style, Robbie went to Central St Martins College of Art and Design. A degree in visual communication at Edinburgh College of Art followed this, marking the beginning of his directing career when his student short film was selected for Kevin Spacey's triggerstreet.com and screened at The TriBeCa Film Festival.
At Red Bee Robbie’s work garnered a string of awards including 2 golds for Best Public Announcement and Best Graphic Design for The Hunting Moon viral and The Piano Season promo respectively.
Driven by a life long obsession for comics and story-telling, Robbie has written and published a novella that he is currently adapting for film. The project was selected for Edinburgh Film Festival's Talent Lab this year.
"Robbie is blessed with all the skills that a young director needs to succeed in this increasingly competitive market," said Knucklehead managing partner Matthew Brown. "His experience at Red Bee has given him a really good grounding in both narrative story-telling and VFX based work. We're all really excited about building his career here at Knucklehead.”
