Kinsale Shark Awards Selects Work Editorial’s Jack Moore for Best New Talent Shortlist
The prestigious Shark Best New Talent Awards recognises the outstanding work of rising film industry professionals under 30 who specialise in advertising. The results are set to be announced this Saturday 30th September.
Jack is a part of Work’s New Wave team, a breakout roster for emerging editing talent. Since joining two years ago, he has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most exciting up-and-coming directors, recently working with Miles Jay at Anorak alongside Work editor Ben Jordan.
Showcasing clear ambition from a young age, Jack has been working in the industry for the past six years since graduating university - where he even started his own production company. It is in that time that he discovered the love for editing which has led him to achieve this recognition today.
Jack comments, “Upon receiving the news, I was at first shocked and didn’t quite believe it, but now I’m feeling proud and like I’ve gained some confidence! I can't wait to see where this takes me. I’m so proud to be a part of the Work team, and being added to its New Wave editors roster feels like a significant achievement.”
Frankie Elster, EP at Work Editorial, comments, “It’s not just Jack’s editorial output that’s great. His willingness to be a sponge when working with editors, directors, creatives, etc. is also exemplary, and his appetite for exploring different projects and throwing himself into uncomfortable territory allows him to improve his skills and outlook on the editing process. He’s also just a really good guy who works hard and is determined.”
She adds, “Jack is a reflection of the calibre of talent at Work, which, in my opinion, is top tier across all three offices. As we constantly add to our roster it breeds healthy competition and the ability to bounce ideas off of each other, which only makes us better.”
