BMW USA's holiday initiative - Snowchat - launched last week. Created by its AOR KBS, Snowchat is a responsive website for mobile and desktop that lets users create a custom message on the snowy windshield of an X4 and share with friends across social media. But, like the holidays, these messages won't last. Once the message is received, the recipient has 5 seconds to read before the message is wiped away.
BMW wanted to create a holiday program that was fun and shareable, and would spread some holiday cheer in a uniquely BMW way to as many owners and fans as possible.
KBS tapped into the popularity of the one-to-one sharing of existing social media platforms and expanded it to a "one-to-many" sharing option where users can publicly post the messages on channels like Facebook and Twitter. The campaign will be promoted on BMWUSA.com and across BMW's social media channels. It will also live on the microsite.
