JWT Wins Gold for Innovation at LIA

Cairo’s Vodafone Fakka idea scores big in The New category identifying expanded vocabulary of the industry

 

JWT Cairo’s Vodafone “Fakka” campaign has been awarded Gold by the London International Awards in the NEW category which recognizes new kinds of ideas that expand the vocabulary of the industry, along with new avenues of thought.   Founded in 1985 with a mission to be different, the LIA awards celebrate creativity and the power of ideas in all forms of advertising, digital, branded content, design, production and music & sound.

 

Novelty alone is not enough to secure recognition with an award in the LIA’s The NEW category.  Jury members are looking for mutations that exhibit how the industry is evolving; creating ripples in culture and returns for clients, hinting at new roles for agencies.  The Fakka campaign for Vodafone Egypt challenged conventional ideas on mobile re-charge cards and engaged with a real consumer need.  This successful product continues to deliver value to both client and consumer in the market.
