Jonathan Jones Joins Chuck Studios and HunkyDory

HunkyDory Films announces UK-based director Jonathan Jones is to its roster. Jonathan also joins the roster of partners Chuck Studios London, who will be representing him for all food, drink and tabletop projects.  

A multi-Emmy award-winning, British director with twenty years of experience working globally within commercials, factual television, documentaries and features, Jonathan is known for both his  advanced technical knowledge and his unique creative approach which have allowed him to  continue to push the boundaries of narrative storytelling.  

His combined knowledge of both technical post-production and advanced cinematography has allowed him to move seamlessly into direction, bringing both a detailed eye and understanding of complex workflows that aid his visual storytelling approach. His most recent long-form work combines his specialism in natural history and writing dramatic narratives – the result being a new eight part Netflix Original series Tiny Creatures which launched globally on the platform August 2020 .  

As an established director of photography, his award-winning cinematography has been globally ecognised winning him Emmys for his work on BBC’s global phenomenon Planet Earth 2, Disney's Nature’s Elephant and National Geographic’s One Strange Rock to name a few. Jonathan has also successfully brought to life short form projects for household names such as; LandRover Jaguar, Dyson and Canon.  

Jonathan has shot on just about every continent of the world, featuring breathtaking aerial landscapes and an A to Z of animals; from family pets to majestic beasts of the wild; amazing underwater worlds and species lurking within; to shooting the sleek lines of the latest LandRover  cruising through the city - he is equally at home whatever the technical or cinematic brief. 

His attention to detail and impressive reel of macro food and liquid work also sees him as the perfect addition to the growing roster of talent at Chuck Studios London. With a beautifully clean, crisp and fresh style to his photography and a panache for all things high-speed his work oozes taste appeal.
