Jeremy Pope's ‘U lost + what I gotta do’ Video Nominated at UKMVA Awards

Jeremy Pope's music video ‘U lost + what I gotta do’, shot by Planb cinematographer Mika Altskan and Nikita Popkov (2nd Unit DOP) has been nominated at the UKMVA for best R&B/soul video international and best choreography (choreography by Parris Goebel). C Prinz is also nominated in the category of best director in association with electric theatre collective.

Actor-musician Jeremy Pope reached out to SMUGGLER director C Prinz in the midst of the pandemic to explore queerness, Blackness and religion.

“People want to condemn me for existing in my love and in my truth,” he says. “I always felt like church was very black-and-white, and I’m more interested in what happens in the gray, because I’m in the gray.” said Jeremy Pope.
