isobel Brings Back Live Comedy with Return of isobelly Laughs

Independent creative agency isobel have set the date for the return of their in-person in-house stand-up comedy night, isobelly laughs.

The agency will host the event at their offices on 9th June, with Ken Cheng confirmed as the headliner.    

During Covid lockdowns, isobel hosted two live comedy events via Zoom, featuring Angela Barnes and Sara Barron. The events attracted hundreds of marketing and advertising industry watchers, in need of some light-hearted entertainment.

June 9th headliner Ken Cheng has written two series of his hit BBC Radio 4 show, Chinese Comedian, which was selected for Radio 4’s Pick of The Year last year. It will return for a 3rd series in 2022. And Ken’s recent TV appearances include Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Alan Partridge’s This Time, and Celebrity Eggheads.  He is also a script editor for Have I Got News for You.

Joining Ken Cheng on 9th June are Angus Dunican, Aideen McQueen and Jade Gebbie, as well as isobelly laughs host Mike Shepard.  

The event will help to raise money and awareness for Ukrainian Creative Stories, an organisation seeking to help creative agencies in Ukraine survive.

isobelly laughs is the only ad industry regular stand-up comedy night, and has hosted some big comedy names, including Sara Pascoe, Marc Dolan, Cally Beaton and Sophie Ducker.
