Branding consultancy Interbrand Australia has boosted its strategy, design, and writing departments with three appointments across the agency.

Lauren Kelly, previously senior strategist, moves into the role of strategy director, where she will act as the strategic lead on key accounts, actively support the team’s development, and help grow the agency’s client base.

Lauren said, “Over the last 18 months at Interbrand, I’ve learnt more than I thought possible. To be trusted now to take on this new role, alongside so many brains that I admire on such varied projects, means a lot—I’m both excited and a little daunted by the big year we have ahead.”

Interbrand Australia managing director Amanda Szylo-Duncan said, “Since the moment Lauren joined Interbrand, she’s inspired the team and clients alike with her strategic bravery and get it done attitude. Working closely with Lauren, I know how dedicated she is to delivering the best possible outcomes for clients. She’ll play a key role in continuing to set the benchmark for our teams in 2024.”

Hannah Lowndes has also been promoted, to mid-weight designer. Hannah, a D&AD New Bloods Wood Pencil-winner, has been with the Design team since 2021.

Meanwhile, in the writing team, Jack Anderson joins as writer. Jack was formerly at RE agency, where he worked across clients including Woolworths, Optus, and UNSW.

Interbrand Australia creative director Alex Creamer said, “Hannah has excelled since joining us a couple of years ago. In the past year alone she’s been instrumental on some of our biggest and most interesting accounts.

Her calm, empathetic yet brave approach to all things brand will stand her in great stead for her career to come. Her promotion is so deserved, we’re bloody lucky to have her
around. Watch this space!”

Amanda added,
“Jack’s an all-round good human and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the team. Storytelling and voice are foundational to brand-building, so Jack’s appointment will see us continue to grow our verbal identity offer in 2024.”

These team developments follow a lively and successful end to 2023 for Interbrand Australia, in which they won seven Transform Awards, announced a collaboration with Unyoked, and partnered with The University of Sydney Business School on a Brand Leadership sprint course.
