More than 300 industry influencers flocked to global
marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi’s Brick Lane offices for the first
ever DigitasLBi UK NewFront on Monday 13th October.
At
the event, a diverse line-up of industry experts explored how marketers
can make their brands part of culture, rather than leaving them stuck in the ad
breaks in between. Speakers included DigitasLBi’s Chief Creative Officer Chris Clarke; advertising maverick Cindy Gallop; experimental British playwright Alecky Blythe; photographer, filmmaker
and technologist Christian Payne; and
former England rugby coach Sir Clive
Woodward.
The
DigitasLBi UK NewFront also featured a special CMO panel hosted by Campaign’s Global Editor-in-Chief Claire Beale, with Just Eat CMO Mat Braddy, Interactive Investor CMO Linda Summers and HSBC’s former Global
Head of Marketing Conor Ogle discussing the need for brands to be brave and take
risks.
The DigitasLBi UK NewFront achieved a
Twitter reach of 6 million impressions, with the hashtag #UKNewFront trending
in the UK ahead of #thewalkingdeaduk and #downtonabbey.
Founded in the US in 2008, the DigitasLBi NewFront initiative
has gone from strength-to-strength, helping marketers harness the latest
branded content opportunities. Last year the
event, themed ‘Fearless’, was live-streamed to more than 225,000 industry
