Past and present players feature in campaign by iris Worldwide and Somesuch's Rollo Jackson
iris Worldwide has launched a campaign for adidas and Arsenal for the launch of the football club's new home shirt.
Exploring London inclusivity, ‘This is Home’ shows how Arsenal players and fans from around the world feel so at home in the city, and at Arsenal, they’ve become part of the fabric of the club and community, adopting accents of North Londoners and real Arsenal fans with dubbing techniques.
Ian Wright puts it perfectly when he says “You ain’t born a Londoner, you’re made one” in this spot, which also features players past and present alongside some well-known fans’ Idris Elba, Tony Adams, Mesut Ozil, Vivianne Miedema and Mattéo Guendouzi.
The hero film forms part of a larger integrated campaign, to not only launch the new Arsenal kit, but mark the start Arsenal’s partnership with adidas.
As well as the hero film going live across adidas, Arsenal and several players/celebrity channels, the films are supported by a huge Out of Home London ‘Tube Takeover’ (Highbury & Islington, Camden & King’s Cross stations), as well as a range of retail and social assets and a wrap of the Evening Standard. Adidas and players are also releasing supporting films on their Instagram channels, this was shared today on Mesut Ozil’s channels, as well as adidas Football and Arsenal’s.
