The BBH London CCO will become the adam&eveDDB co-founders’ creative partner in the new venture
Chief creative officer at BBH London, Ian Heartfield, is departing the agency to join adam&eveDDB co-founders James Murphy and David Golding as the creative partner in their new venture.

It has been reported that Heartfield will take an equal equity stake in the start-up alongside Murphy and Golding, who announced in December 2018 that they were planning to launch a new company.

Ian Heartfield joined BBH in 2010 having worked for Ogilvy, AMV BBDO and Fallon. Over the past nine years he has written award-winning work and acted as creative director on many of the agency’s flagship accounts, leading Absolut, Uber, St John Ambulance and Audi. Since running Audi, the agency’s founding client, Ian has overseen a formidable body of work. Work that has been as highly awarded as it has been effective. Work such as Cannes Gold winning ‘Birth’, and ‘Clowns’. Audi is shortlisted in the forthcoming 2018 IPA Effectiveness Awards. He was elevated to chief creative officer in 2018.

Heartfield’s work has picked up multiple awards including the Grand Prix at Cannes and The One Show, D&AD Pencils, Golds and Silvers at BTAA, Creative Circle and Campaign Big. He was The Gunn report’s most awarded copywriter in the world in 2006.

Murphy, Golding and Heartfield’s new agency is due to launch in the first half of 2020, once the adam&eveDDB founders’ 12-month non-compete restriction expires.
