Howatson+Company and Plus Also Studios Launch Networking Event for Women in Advertising

Howatson+Company and its sister business Plus Also are launching AccelerateHER, a first-of-its-kind networking event in Sydney and Melbourne this International Women’s Day, offering women in advertising personalised career advice from industry leaders.

The event is tailored to women who want to break into advertising, are considering a career change, or are seeking mentorship. Attendees will have the chance to engage with mentors from diverse roles and capabilities, including creative directors, media executives, designers, and operations managers.

Advertising remains a competitive industry, and women often face unique challenges in navigating their careers. Howatson+Co said AccelerateHER not only provides practical advice, but fosters a sense of community and support, aligning with the spirit of International Women’s Day.

The event will run from 8:30am to 10am on Friday March 7th 2025 at the Howatson+Company and Plus Also Studios offices in Sydney and Melbourne. Attendees are encouraged to bring CVs or portfolios for feedback, though this is not mandatory.

Spots are limited, and the event is strictly invite-only. Interested participants can apply via the Howatson+Company careers page by March 3rd, with successful applicants to be notified the following day.
