Part of our culture at Curious productions is the exploration of new ideas and shooting unfamiliar objects in different environments. It's always been fascinating to us, and in a collaboration with stylists Beast & Burden, we created a project based on one of our favourite subjects: food.
Styled by the founders of Beast & Burden, Emily Bridge and Emma Witter, and photographed by Curious photographer Dan Humphreys, we worked together to make our floral crisp concept became a reality in the style of Dutch Still Life.
Emily and Emma spent a couple of days with an enviable task: shopping for crisps. With a shopping trolley loaded with Skips, Hula Hoops, Twiglets, Bugles, Wheat Crunchies and Beetroot Chips, they got to work experimenting with the shapes, colours, and textures. While Emily and Emma worked on the bonding and sculpting of the bouquet, Dan got to work on the lighting and photography.
The good thing is, we still like crisps.
Here’s how we did it.
