How 50,000 People 'Unmuted' Jakwob & George The Poet for Which?
Soho Music partnered with spoken word artist George The Poet and producer and multi-instrumentalist Jakwob to produce the the track, 'It's Yours' for consumer group Which?. The campaign, #UNMUTEUK, asked the UK public to sign a petition calling on the Government to ensure that when people speak up, staff in public services listen and act on people's concerns.
Devised by agency VCCP, the aim of the project is to give people the confidence to complain and make their voices heard when public services let people down.
When the campaign launched, the song was 'muted' - with the idea that only when enough people had added their voices to the petition would the song be played loud and proud. The petition has now reached 50 000 signatures and the full exclusive track has been unmuted and released.
