Household Hires Katie Walmsley as Creative Director of Technology & Experience

Household, the creative agency specialising in experience-led design, today announces that it has hired Katie Walmsley as creative director of technology and experience.

Katie Walmsley is joining Household to lead its experience team, working with its clients to think progressively throughout the design process from ideation to implementation. She will support Household’s response to a changing retail and experience landscape where brands need provocative and future-thinking designs to rise to fame.

Katie joins as a seasoned and fearless creative marketing leader with more than 12 years of experience in supporting global brands to pivot evolving technology ecosystems and design rich brand experiences for the likes of Nestlé and L’Oréal. Her previous roles include creative director at Landor & Fitch and senior creative lead at Imagination, where she fostered extensive experience championing technology and leading in 3D and digital design. As a web3 advocate, Katie has also supported executing new innovation partnerships, helping brands enter new channels and build virtual spaces that unite people around a shared experience.

Katie spearheaded the conception and launch of the new and evolved Kit Kat Chocolatory in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Supporting the brand as it entered a new market, creating a new gen z, omnichannel retail concept. The four-year-long project was last year the winner of the Innovation Award for Digital Integration RDI & Transformer Award Gold 2022.

Currently enrolled at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, Katie is passionate about collaborating with clients to achieve sustainable and impactful growth, drawing on her previous experience with brands such as Urban Decay, Kiehls, Lancôme, Shiseido, L’Oréal Corporate and L’Oréal Travel Retail.

Of her appointment, Katie said: “This new position is incredibly exciting for me.
