Production studio HOUND has been nominated at the 65th annual Grammy awards for Doja Cat’s viral music video, ‘Woman’. Representing a diverse roster of talented directors such as Isaac Rentz, Jay Martin, Sarah McColgan, Jaquel Knight and Dano Cerny - all of whom have made massive waves in both the music video and commercial world - HOUND produces quality work with a simple aim to impact the industry and world at large.

Produced by HOUND’s Missy Galanida and directed by child., ‘Woman’ features on Doja Cat’s multi award-winning album ‘Planet Her’ and has amassed over 150 million views since its release in December 2021.

The video sees Doja team up with singer and dancer Teyana Taylor and model Guetcha to celebrate divine femininity and sensuality. Teyana Taylor stars as African queen of a mythical society that is warned of men plotting to steal her throne. In a bid to distract the scheming men, Teyana conjures Doja Cat, who is adorned in an opulent Afrofuturistic costume, to dance sensually for her male audience.

Globally acknowledged as the most prestigious and significant awards in the music industry, The Grammy Awards, presented by the Recording Academy of the United States, recognises outstanding achievements in the music industry. HOUND’s nomination in the ‘Best Music Video’ category validates the production studio as being at the forefront of creativity in this space.

Speaking on the video Missy Galanida, executive producer and partner at HOUND, says, “At HOUND we strive to make quality work with every piece we make. I knew from the beginning that this project was special and wanted to make sure that we brought the creativity to life in a way that the world would be excited about. Our mission was to make sure that everyone could see the true beauty and quality of this artist, song, director and video. As a woman in the business and producing for child., a female director, it was also very important to support other strong women and make this music video reflect that.”
