Intuit Mailchimp enlisted strategic production agency HONE to bring absurdly awesome ideas to fruition

Strategic production agency HONE is thrilled to announce that its partnership with Intuit Mailchimp’s Wink Creative has led to the creative agency being named AdAge’s A-List In-House Agency of the Year 2023. 

Brought in by Mailchimp and Wink Creative in 2020, HONE has been the on-call resource for production planning, consulting and execution for the last three years. The partnership has seen HONE produce large scale brand campaign work, consult and manage creative projects for the Mailchimp social and corporate citizenship teams, and continue to consult with their in-house production, operations, and creative teams. 

Wink called upon HONE’s co-head of production & owner Matt Mattingly to produce Mailchimp’s first in-house created brand campaign, ‘Guess Less, Sell More’, led by global group creative director and head of campaigns, Jeremy Jones. Originally enlisted by Wink’s global executive creative director, Katie Potochney, HONE have helped plan an array of creative projects. The strategic production company has tapped into its network to find outside agency resources for specialized projects like a motion branding library, and also modeling out production scenarios for large scale projects. Additionally, HONE was key in helping Mailchimp’s marketing team navigate a very busy period leading up their merger with Intuit. All while planning for their second global campaign.

At the same time, the team also worked with HONE’s managing director, Heather Bell, to advise on the team’s overall vision, partnering with the in-house leadership team to identify ways to achieve them.

HONE’s unique business model and problem solving approach empowers clients’ internal creative capabilities using its production expertise and credibility. Honing in on a production-first philosophy, the team puts the budget, timing, creative aspiration, and deliverables at the forefront of every project their clients come to them with. For in-house teams specifically, the team also works to supplement current internal and external resources with whatever is needed to solve the business problem. Oftentimes, joining the in-house team for a specified amount of time.
